Almost all of you might have gone through this stuff. None of you would like to go through it either. That is the kind of feeling while having cold or cough. Cold / cough is caused mostly due to the change in weather conditions and would lead to viral infections to the throat. Some of the most common reasons over which you can get cold cough are the following ones,
- Over exposure to cold
- Exposure to dust and other pollutants
- Cold / cough can travel from a person, who is already affected with it
- Late night works that lead to over exposure to dew
- Scarcity of good drinking water etc.
Though there are numerous ways for you to get cold cough, the above mentioned ones are the scenarios, wherein you are expected to catch them on a fast note. The modern day conditions allow you to have a whole day under the chilling climate offered by the air conditioner, which will lead you to an excessive exposure to cold and result in cold cough. So, in order to prevent it from attacking you again, you can have some remedies from Ayurveda.
Start the day freshly: Start the day by gargling your mouth with fresh water, followed by drinking water as much as you can. Then, you have to clean your stomach as well as the throat by vomiting out the whole water that you just drank. This will allow you not only to cleanse the throat, but also help you to prevent the problems associated with the likes of acidity.
With vaporizer: Finding the assistance of a vaporizer is an ideal option for you if you are really struggling with cold / cough. You can take a hot vapor of water by adding any vaporizer such as eucalyptus to the boiling water. This will help you to remove any blocks in the bronchus and nose.
Rock Salt during hard times: If you are going through an extreme condition, then opting to have rock salt as vaporizer can work the best for you. It also reduces the heaviness of the head as well.
Ayurvedic tonic: Availing the service of an ayurvedic tonic is preferred here. Well, the tonic can be prepared out with 2 tsp of beetle leaf juice along with 1 tsp of honey. Mix it well and have it twice a day after your food. Repeat the process for at least a week to get relief from cough.
Ginger with honey: As we mentioned about the use of ayurvedic tonic during the hardship times of cold cough, a similar one can be made out with ginger and honey. For that purpose, you have to mince a medium sized ginger and mix it with 2 tsp of honey. Have it before you go to bed.
Apart from the above mentioned remedies, you are also advised to follow some breathing exercises to make your respiratory system a strong one.
