Fitness Lessons: Coping with post workout pain

Most of the guys out there like hitting the gym. Though many would be unable to attend the gym regularly, they however have a great desire to hit gym daily. Well, for any fresher as well as one, who joins the gym after a long period of inactive sessions, will experience a kind of uneasiness on their body parts, especially in the joints.  Well, health experts like to call this as ‘Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness’. The reason for the soreness is said to be due to the microscopic tearing of the inflexible muscle fibers. Well, there are quite some things that you can do in order to have a strong action against post workout pain.

Warm your body: Warming up is of utmost importance, while attending the gym session. You can see hear the same from your gym instructor as well. Performing some low intense aerobic exercises can help your body to prepare for the hard work out plans that has been set for you. Well, this can help your body a bit more flexible.

Do it again: Repeating the same exercise again on the very next day. Or, at least you have to do all the exercises on a regular basis for quite some time. That will help your body get used to the kind of exercise and will adapt to it later. You can also experience an increased blood flow to the particular region that helps you to alleviate pain causing chemicals.

Be cautious: Well, this seems to be pretty easy to utter. Having said that, you have to take some extra effort to rest your body in between the tedious workout session. That is, you have to take adequate rest during the workout session and allow your body to cool down. This will also help you to grow the muscles on that region.

Control your desire: This has to be read along with the lines of the extra effort that one is expected to take, if he/she is a beginner. Having just entered the arena can’t help you grow muscles overnight. For the purpose, you have to do the exercises on a regular basis, but should increase the level of exercises only gradually. The biggest blunders that most of the people commit are a sudden jump to a rigorous routine just after starting off.

Oil Massage: Oil massage is something that has been rated as the best way to cope with the post workout pain. This will give you a temporary relief from the pain stalking days post workout. Go for a great oil massage in the joints, which will help your body to have fresh start since then.

Pain Killers: This must be the word that has to be used when you lose all other hopes. Using mild pain killers are something advised for the gym hitting personalities. However, their usage is strictly restricted according to the prescription of a physician.
