Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)

PCOS is a common hormonal problem in women. Irregular menstrual cycles and ovulation are the biggest problem faced by women with PCOS. They also suffer from other problems such as weight gain, thinning of hair and acne. If you have persistent acne on your face especially on your cheeks and chin, you might have PCOS. The women with PCOS also are prone to diabetes.

A change in lifestyle is the only way to fight PCOS. Diet and exercise helps you reduce and maintain your body weight on a healthy level. This decreases risk of diabetes too and help bring a positive change to your appearance. Consult a gynecologist or endocrinologist and they might advise you to take oral contraceptive pills for having a menstrual cycle.
